Thanksgiving and Bradley at 6 months

 

My family was in town for Thanksgiving this year and I ended up hosting at my house. I never cook, so this was a crazy day, but it turned out nice. Also, my sister in law took some fun pictures of Bradley at 6 months old.

The little Smokey's were a big hit, you wrap them in Bacon and then soak them in honey and brown sugar.

Halloween and am I really 28?

 

Bradley's First Halloween was amazing and we got to visit dad's office and trick or treat with all the cousins.  I love that Bradley has so many cousins close by to build memories with. 

 

Oh, and i turn 28 on Monday. Marty and I are doing a big date tomorrow while my mom in law takes Bradley.  I know 28 is not old, but in my head I have been 21 for the past 7 years. Maybe because I waited so long to have a child, I just feel so much younger. But I guess 30 is the new 20 and I always have felt that you should approach the 30's as the best time of your life. Your 20's are spent finishing school and finding out who you want to be, and struggling through decisions that will determine much of the rest of your life.  Now getting closer to the 30's I am so glad for the choices I have made and the things I have done and where my life is heading. So bring them on.... Oh but in my mind I will always be 21.

Arizona and Bradley is 6 months

We spent 2 weeks in Arizona with my family.  Marty stayed behind and we did miss him. I kind of did horrible taking pictures but it was a lot of fun. We got pedicures, went to movies, did some shopping, and relaxed. And my mom took Bradley in the mornings so i could sleep in. All in all pretty relaxing for me.

I got hang out with my sister Caitlin a lot and I am officially proclaiming that she is the funniest person in the world. 

 

This kid was in the car A LOT this trip. He was such a good boy though.

Favorite Things

Motherhood.  It is so fun to be home with Bradley.  I love taking care of our household, being my own boss, and seeing all the cool new stuff Bradley learns everyday. Also, notice being a mom does not leave much time for hair appointments... look how naturally "NOT BLONDE" pregnancy made me.. I gotta get some highlights and get my old hair back. 

I am working on a 450 page blurb book of our 7 years together before kids.  I think it will be great for a kids to see one day.  All the cool stuff their parents did.

Recently I have discovered it is okay to try many different lipsticks and wear them based on mood and outfit.  I have about 10 different shades I experiment with. Although some days just some good old lip balm feels the most beautiful.

Fall:  I am ready for a new season, i am feeling the need for change

Produce, Lately I cannot get enough of it, especially vegetable's from the garden.  I have been eating corn almost every night. I love to make homemade pizzas and pile it with peppers, cucumbers, mushrooms, olives.  I also love making anything with garden tomatoes.  Romaine Lettuce is a big hit for me lately too.  I also eat half an avocado everyday.  I just love produce.

My family was here this weekend. We played cards with grandma, had some good family dinners, hung out at City Creek, and caught up with family.

We spent Saturday in Layton and Marty's parents house.  With multiple days of high 90's weather, a huge Storm whipped through and we enjoyed some cool summer air.
