Weekend Fun

This weekend was fun. After the shower I came home and my niece came over. Her name is Emmalee. Isn't she just the cutest thing ever! She seems pretty relaxed in this picture. I think she looks a lot like her dad Colby and a ton like Marty. But most people say, she looks like her mom. Either way, this baby has some good genes!
On Sunday Marty barbecued! The weather was gorgeous. It was in the 70's. I wish it could always be this nice outside. Overall it was a good and relaxing weekend.

Flashbacks...

Occasionally my cousins do Flashback Friday, but since I never know when I have time to post, we will just call it Flashbacks.
Marty and I at Catalina Island on our Honeymoon.. We were swimming and shopping this day. It was so much fun. I bought some sweatshirts that I still have not worn. I remember being so cold. We put on our swim stuff and went to lay out and it was freezing, so while this picture looks like fun in the sun.. I was cursing myself for putting on my swim stuff.

BFF

My best friend of 10 years was in town this weekend and we got to spend some time together. Her sister is having a baby so it was a great excuse to get together. I love you Jill. Thanks for the laughs as always.

So happy together....

We look forward to keeping in touch this way. Feel free to visit our blog whenever you would like.

MOM AND DAD

These are my parents! Bob and Patti Christison...
I have to say I have the most amazing parents in the world. They live in Arizona.. my dad is the bishop down there and he is such a good one!! He really cares about everyone in the ward. He is also just a great dad. I love that he calls and checks in on me to make sure I am okay. I may be all grown up and married, but at heart I am daddy's little girl. My mom is what always made our house a home. If I needed a shirt washed or something picked up for school she was on it. She is exactly the kind of mother I hope to be to my kids. Thanks guys for being so awesome. PS.. I know I am your favorite.. (just admit it)

Our New Blog

I think it is time for Marty and I to start documenting our lives. We should have started this a long time ago, but with school and work, it kind of gets pushed to the backburner. I would like to use this as a journal... but for now I will have to catch you up on our past. This picture is from our honeymoon. Marty and I have been married 2 1/2 years. It has gone by so fast. We both work full time. Marty works for Security National. His job has given us some great opportunities and it has been fun getting to be good friends with those he works with. I work for a downtown Law Firm. We both attend the University of Utah. I am going for a BA in English. Marty is getting his finance degree. We bought our first home about 8 months ago. It is just a small townhome, but it had everything we wanted and it suits our needs wonderfully. We love to hang out with our family and friends and of course spend time with each other, which is a rarity these days.
